Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of reviewhedgehog.ca (the "Website"), the Review Hedgehog app and Pro subscription (the "App"), and our NFC + QR review signs (the "Signs"), all provided by Hedgehog Services, operating as Review Hedgehog ("Review Hedgehog", "we", "us"), a British Columbia business. By using the Website, App or Signs, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Signs and purchases

Signs are sold through Amazon.ca. Pricing, payment, shipping, delivery, returns and refunds for Signs are handled by Amazon under Amazon's terms and policies. Prices shown on the Website are for information and may change. Amazon's listing is the final word on price and availability.

2. Activating and using Signs

Each Sign must be activated and linked to your Google Business Profile before use. You are responsible for linking Signs to a business you own or are authorized to manage. Signs work with most NFC-enabled smartphones and any phone camera that can scan QR codes, but we do not guarantee compatibility with every device.

3. The App and your account

The free App lets you manage up to 10 locations and 20 Signs, or other limits we post in the App. You must give accurate information when creating an account and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least the age of majority in your province or territory and have authority to bind your business to these Terms.

4. Pro subscription

• Pro adds optional features, such as AI-drafted review replies, bad review alerts and a website review widget. Features may change over time.
• Pro is billed monthly or yearly at the price shown in the App when you subscribe (for example, $9.99/month or $99/year, plus applicable taxes).
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time in the App, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded.
• If we change Pro pricing, we will give you notice before the change applies to your next renewal.

5. AI review replies

When you turn on AI replies, the App drafts and may automatically post replies to your Google reviews using the tone, timing and star-rating settings you choose. AI-generated text can contain mistakes. You are responsible for every reply posted from your account. You can review, edit or turn off automatic replies at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Website, App and Signs lawfully and in line with Google's review policies. You must not:

• offer customers money, discounts or other incentives in exchange for reviews;
• post or ask for fake, misleading or conflict-of-interest reviews;
• selectively ask only happy customers for reviews where this is prohibited (review gating);
• misuse, copy, reverse-engineer or interfere with the App or Website; or
• use our services to send spam or break any law, including Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL).

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

7. Third-party services

Our services rely on third parties such as Google and Amazon. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, their policies, or decisions they make about your reviews, listings or account. Google decides whether reviews are published, filtered or removed.

8. No guaranteed results

Signs and the App make it easier for customers to leave reviews, but we do not guarantee any number of reviews, star rating, search ranking or business result.

9. Intellectual property

The Website, App, Review Hedgehog name, logo and content belong to us or our licensors. You may not use them without our written permission, except to use our services as intended. You keep ownership of your own business information and content.

10. Disclaimers

To the extent allowed by law, the Website, App and Signs are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise the services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, Review Hedgehog is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Review Hedgehog against claims arising from your misuse of our services, your review replies, or your breach of these Terms or any law.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using our services after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and we agree to the courts of British Columbia, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
